Valtteri Bottas - 5th place, 10 points - 8/10
Bottas felt hard done by on Friday when he was given a three-place grid penalty for overtaking Felipe Nasr under yellow flags, with the indiscretion seeing him dropped from fourth to seventh after qualifying. However, he almost completely erased that deficit by Turn 1 at the start with a brilliant launch up to fifth place, where he could exploit the car to its maximum. Unfortunately, everyone ahead of him did the same so it was a race of little action for Bottas but he was much quicker than Felipe Massa in the second Williams and his result secured the team third place in the constructors’ championship.
