F1i's Driver Ratings for the 2019 Brazilian GP

Lance Stroll (Retired, Lap 66): 6/10
For Lance Stroll, the Brazilian Grand Prix was pretty much a case of being in the wrong place at the wrong time as far as the Canadian was concerned. There he was, going around Interlagos, minding his own business in the Racing Point, when suddenly he came across debris in the middle of the track from the Ferrari fall-out, and that was it for him. While he was utterly blameless in the cause of his retirement, it has to be said that Stroll hadn't exactly set the race weekend on fire before that either. In fact it had been a very average time for him, failing to budge from the bottom four of the three practice sessions and duly starting from 17th in the race itself. His closest rival throughout was Williams' George Russell, and that's really not a good look for Stroll. To be fair, his own team mate Sergio Perez hardly had a much better time of it on Friday and Saturday, but when it mattered Perez found a way to overcome the RP-1's difficulties and come away with points. In contrast, Stroll spent a sum total of five laps in the top ten on Sunday and had dropped down to 14th by the time of his unfortunate exit.
