Formula 1 Testing Jerez

In 2007, Renault was preparing for a season without its previous main sponsor Mild Seven, with the deal coming to an end as Fernando Alonso departed the team following back-to-back championships. As a result, pre-season testing saw a dark blue and yellow livery before the launch of a new title sponsorship deal with ING.

The Renault yellow remained, but the livery became a lot more colourful. Sadly, the change in look coincided with a change in results as Renault was unable to continue its success of the previous years. The championship was very much a two-horse race between Ferrari and McLaren, with Renault finishing a distant fourth in the constructors' standings (promoted to third when McLaren was excluded).
