MANOR'S UNEXPECTED NOSE JOB

It's somewhat surprising that Manor has decided to ditch last year’s thumb-tip nose in order to introduce a longer nosecone on the MRT05. This was even more unexpected considering that most 2016 F1 cars feature a shorter layout, which helps increase the airflow in between the two front wing mounting pillars.

That said, having a long nosecone is not a real deal-breaker. After all, Ferrari did manage to win three grands prix last year with its SF15-T using a similar design.
