Force India is one of many teams which can point to the red flag as a defining factor in its race, with its own strategy plans hit by the stoppage. Hulkenberg was running competitively on a one-stop strategy but pitted just two laps before the race was halted, allowing his rivals a free stop effectively. Keeping a Williams behind is a positive, but Hulkenberg never looked like seriously threatening Grosjean ahead.
