He perhaps isn’t getting the credit he deserves as a result of his team-mate’s outbursts, but Sainz recovered well following an early stop which saw him swap supersofts for softs. The Spaniard defending well against Hamilton after the restart but the decision to put on more softs under the red flag proved costly as track position was lost after a final pit stop.
