Lance Stroll, Aston Martin (Withdrew): N/A
Stroll participated in qualifying, placing his AMR25 into 14th on the starting grid. However, the Canadian never lined up for Sunday’s race, opting to undergo treatment for a troublesome wrist that has plagued him since 2023 when he suffered a cycling accident.
Alexander Albon, Williams (Retired, lap 28): 4/10
An unusually bad weekend for Albon, who up until Spain had been one of the most consistently solid performers of the 2025 field. After failing to make it into Q3, the Thai-British driver endured a terrible start to the Grand Prix, losing three positions after contact with the Sauber of Hulkenberg on the opening lap. This damaged the front wing on his Williams, prompting his to pit for a replacement and fresh tyres on lap six. Just a handful of laps later, Albon got into a tussle with Lawson’s Racing Bulls, receiving a ten-second penalty for leaving the track and gaining an advantage, and subsequently damaging his front wing again after losing the position to Lawson a lap later. He decided to retire the car a couple of laps later; whether this was to spare any further embarrassment we can’t say for sure.
