Six races in: 2015 v 2016 comparisons

DRIVERS

Motor Racing - Formula One World Championship - Russian Grand Prix - Race Day - Sochi, Russia

Looking at the drivers' championship, there are some obvious and some surprising trends compared to a year ago. Nico Rosberg leads the standings on this occasion but he has scored fewer points than in 2015, with Lewis Hamilton's reliability woes seeing a clear difference in his score.

Before Monaco, Kimi Raikkonen was second in the drivers' championship. However, his retirement in Monte Carlo means he has only scored one more point this year than last, with team-mate Sebastian Vettel having the same number of points as Raikkonen did after six races a year ago.

Both Red Bull, Toro Rosso and McLaren drivers see individual improvements, while Romain Grosjean has also scored more points for Haas than he had for Renault at the same stage in 2015.
