Valtteri Bottas - 3rd place, 15 points - 9/10
In typical Bottas fashion, his first podium of the season came with an impressive but slightly under-the-radar drive. Up to sixth thanks to Rosberg’s problem at the start, Bottas jumped up to sixth and benefitted from Kimi Raikkonen’s early stop to run fifth. With the Red Bull drivers having to two-stop, Bottas was promoted to third but showed great pace while still making a one-stop strategy work and never looked under threat from Max Verstappen in the closing stages. As he himself put it, Bottas “was on it” this weekend.
