F1i 2015 season preview

It’s finally time to go racing again, with the 2015 Formula One season getting underway in Melbourne this weekend. After three pre-season tests some form of pecking order has emerged, and F1i is going to stick its neck on the line to predict where each team stands heading in to the first race of the season.

Australia will finally see all the teams show their true hands, but the nature of the street circuit around the lake in Albert Park doesn't always deliver a definitive result in terms of where each team sits.

Has Mercedes retained its advantage? Which team will be at the head of the group fighting to overhaul the 2014 world champions? And where will McLaren fit in after its disastrous pre-season in terms of mileage with the new Honda power unit?

Sunday’s race will give us the first answers to those questions. So, without any further ado here’s our take (barely educated guess) on the current competitive order. You can probably guess which team is coming up first…
