In 1977, at the age of 34, Chris called it a day on his career in motor racing and returned home to New Zealand to look after the family's sheep farming business, living a contented and relaxed life with his wife Tish, their daughter Georgie, and twin sons, James and Alex.

"Not bad for a farm boy from Bulls," was how Christopher Amon, MBE, assessed his life and times in motorsport.
