Fernando Alonso - 7th place, 6 points - 8.5/10
Alonso is making seventh place his at the moment as he took seventh for the fourth time in the last six races. Like Spa, it was a climb from the back of the field, but there wasn’t a lengthy safety car period to help him this time. A great start saw him went the opening lap 12th - ten places gained - even though he had to avoid the spinning Rosberg. Was in the top ten by lap four and opted for a three-stop as he had so many new tyres after qualifying, allowing him to attack the race. Showed good pace and the final VSC for Hamilton’s retirement boosted him with almost a free pit stop late on.
