FORCE INDIA HEAVES LIKE MERCEDES

Mercedes’ suspension has been a hot topic of late, especially its hydraulic heave unit that operates another spring lodged within the right sidepod.

Interestingly, the Silver Arrow is not the only car fitted with an ancillary spring. So is the Force India VJM09, with a gas bottle (nitrogen) housed in the sidepod and acting as an auxiliary spring in a manner similar to the system on the W07.
