Lewis Hamilton - 3rd place, 15 points - 7/10
A potentially decisive result in the drivers’ championship, Hamilton was pipped to pole position by Rosberg and then the recurring problem of poor starts came back to haunt him. After apologising to the team over radio and composing himself for a lap or two, Hamilton fought back well. His moves on Ricciardo and the Williams pair after his first pit stop were decisive and allowed him to quickly get back in podium contention on a track where it is difficult to overtake. Third was better than it may have been after the first corner, but the damage had been done.
