2016 Japanese Grand Prix - Driver ratings

F1i looks back at how the 2016 Japanese Grand Prix unfolded and gives each driver a mark out of ten for their performance at Suzuka

Nico Rosberg - 1st place, 25 points - 9/10

In a weekend when his team-mate made the headlines, Rosberg was simply the faster driver. Top of all three practice sessions, his pole position lap was impressive as it came under pressure after a poor first run and ensured his advantage over Hamilton remained. In the race, Rosberg was in complete control, opening up a comfortable gap in the opening laps before managing the pace as Mercedes was slightly cautious following Hamilton’s failure in Malaysia. Looking more and more likely to be champion, and performances like this one make him more and more deserving.
