SAUBER BLOWN AWAY

In the Principality, Sauber had brought blown axles for the front wheels of the C37. The role of this system, which equips all other cars (with the exception of the Williams), is to create a powerful air flow of which the wake avoids the turbulence caused by the rotation of the wheels.

Sauber will not be able to take advantage of this novelty for a long time, because the blown axles will be prohibited next year in order to render the wake of the cars less disturbing for a following driver and thus allow for more overtaking.
