During free practice, Nico Hülkenberg and Carlos Sainz completed a few laps with a front wing devoid of cascade elements, which will be banned next year.
Even if such a hybrid wing does not comply with the technical regulations for 2019 (because it has a tunnel of arches and more than five elements), this configuration could offer some interesting data to Enstone's aero department.
