On the back of solid races in Spa and Monza, where he picked up a total of 18 points, Sergio Perez heads to Singapore targeting an extension of his and Force India's current form.
Vijay Mallya's team will be seeking further progress of its b-spec VJM08 with the introduction of a few small updates, but Singapore's characteristics are a far cry from Spa and Monza's high-speed features.
Still, Force India's drivers will be looking to capitalize on the team's recent gains and nothing short of a top 10 placing is envisaged.
"I'm heading to Singapore feeling very positive," said Perez.
"We've shown in the last two races just how competitive we can be and I'm confident we can have a similar level of performance in Singapore. The team is pushing hard to bring performance to the car and we've still got developments coming through which will help us a bit more this weekend."
The Mexican driver enjoys a fairly consistent track record on the Marina Bay circuit, never finishing outside of the top 10 since his debut season in Formula 1 with Sauber in 2011.
"The track is one of my favourites and I've scored points every time I've raced there. I always enjoy driving on street circuits because you have to be aggressive and precise, and that suits my driving style."
" It's quite bumpy, too, so you need a car with good stability to ride the bumps. It's also one of the most demanding races of the year because of the heat and humidity."
"I'm now feeling more comfortable with the updated car. I made a big breakthrough in Spa and since then I've had the confidence to push and get the most from our package. It's a good sign for the rest of the year."
