Williams F1 is the star of a startling new art exhibition being held this month in Pimlico, London.
The team has collaborated with Blueshift GP to create a stunning new collection of artworks. All have been inspired by aerodynamic imagery of the FW35 and its predecessors.
Five stunning images have been created, named Slipstream, Pressure Point, Forward Flow, Visible Force and Vortex.
The designs use previously confidential imagery from Williams’ computational fluid dynamic (CFD) designs. They combine engineering expertise and artistic techniques to create a unique and stunning collection.
The images have been treated to a highly technical print process combined with the very latest LED back illumination technology. A second creative treatment applies multiple and varied layers of ink onto specifically selected metal surfaces, providing another subtle but stunning effect.
The resulting imagery has never publicly seen before. Williams is the first F1 team to have ever released previously classified design files as an artwork.
The project is the result of an exclusive partnership. Blueshift GP was established in July 2016 to work exclusively with Williams and work in collaboration with the race team as an Official Licensee.
The 'Art Of Aero' exhibition is Blueshift GP's first design release collection, with future projects under the 'Art Of Aero' banner launching over the coming months.
Each numbered image is strictly limited to 128 reproductions in a selection of sizes. Metallic prints will be strictly limited to 50 reproductions of each image.
The initial exhibition is on display to the general public at Ransom Gallery on Pimlico Road in London from March 17-31.
