The finish line beckons for the Jim Clark Museum

This is it. The Jim Clark Trust is now in the final 24 hours of its Jim Clark Museum crowdfunding campaign.

Everyone involved with the Trust wishes to thank all supporters, both individuals and companies from around the world, that have contributed so far and played their part in helping to ensure the new museum is closer to becoming a reality.

From where it started as the campaign was launched at Race Retro last month it has made great progress, with over £90,000 raised via Crowdfunder, more than £100,000 of direct donations and a further £75,000 committed by other Trusts and Foundations.

However, we still need your help to reach the £300,000 total required - and every donation counts.

Making a pledge before 10am tomorrow, Friday April 21, is your chance to become part of a special group who have helped contribute to building a new museum commemorating Jim Clark’s outstanding achievements - and inspire generations to come.

Phillip van Osten

Motor racing was a backdrop from the outset in Phillip van Osten's life. Born in Southern California, Phillip grew up with the sights and sounds of fast cars thanks to his father, Dick van Osten, an editor and writer for Auto Speed and Sport and Motor Trend. Phillip's passion for racing grew even more when his family moved to Europe and he became acquainted with the extraordinary world of Grand Prix racing. He was an early contributor to the monthly French F1i Magazine, often providing a historic or business perspective on Formula 1's affairs. In 2012, he co-authored along with fellow journalist Pierre Van Vliet the English-language adaptation of a limited edition book devoted to the great Belgian driver Jacky Ickx. He also authored "The American Legacy in Formula 1", a book which recounts the trials and tribulations of American drivers in Grand Prix racing. Phillip is also a commentator for Belgian broadcaster Be.TV for the US Indycar series.
