McLaren junior Lando Norris will sample the team's 2017-spec MCL32 charger at next week's in-season test at the Hungaroring.

The 17-year-old is a prominent member of the Woking-based outfit's young driver programme, having already experienced F1 machinery earlier this year with a run in a 2011 McLaren MP4-26 in Portugal.

Norris will take over driving duties from Stoffel Vandoorne on the second day of the test.

The opportunity has come about as a result of the young charger's talent and the ability he has demonstrated this year in the European F3 series, in which he has won three races so far with Carlin.

But Norris' test is also part of the Brit's prize for winning the 2016 McLaren Autosport BRDC Award.

Nohuharu  Matsushita, another member of McLaren's junior programme, will also be running in Hungary next week, driving for Sauber.
