F1i Poll: Who do you want to see at Williams in 2018?

Williams is closing in on an upcoming decision on who will partner Lance Stroll next season at the Grove-based outfit.

After going through a revolving door last year, Felipe Massa says that he'll only stay on for a fifth year if the team shows him some love and tells him they want him.

But the Brazilian will have some worthy rivals to contend with, starting with Robert Kubica which Williams is rumored to be very interested in.

The Pole is attempting a sensational comeback but questions still remain over his enduring ability to handle a full race distance with speed and consistency.

Speaking of consistency, super-sub and reserve driver Paul di Resta, who replaced a sick Massa in Hungary this summer, has also been short-listed by Williams.

Finally, Jolyon Palmer is also an option albeit likely a remote one. After serving his apprenticeship at Renault and enduring difficult times, the British driver feels Formula 1 is unfinished business. He's eager to continue his route at the pinnacle of racing. Why not with Williams?

Chime in and give us your thoughts by responding to our F1i poll. We'll tally the results in a few days and let you who you want to see driving for Williams in 2018.

He was an early contributor to the monthly French F1i Magazine, often providing a historic or business perspective on Formula 1's affairs. In 2012, he co-authored along with fellow journalist Pierre Van Vliet the English-language adaptation of a limited edition book devoted to the great Belgian driver Jacky Ickx. He also authored "The American Legacy in Formula 1", a book which recounts the trials and tribulations of American drivers in Grand Prix racing. Phillip is also a commentator for Belgian broadcaster Be.TV for the US Indycar series.
