Since the end of the 2017 campaign, and before pre-season testing kicks off in Barcelona at the end of February, F1's drivers scattered around the world for some well-deserved down time.
Some preferred the tranquillity of a mountain resort while others headed to the beach, usually blending a leisurely stay with a bit of training as everyone ramped up their preparation.
There were also some life-changing events for a few drivers. Brendon Hartley got married, while Sergio Perez Perez and Romain Grosjean rejoiced in fatherhood.
But the biggest event of the off-season was undoubtedly Kimi Raikkonen's arrival on social media. His very first comment? "Bwooah..."
