Raikkonen throws down the gauntlet to... Roger Federer!

As pundits speculate on Kimi Raikkonen's future in F1 beyond 2018, the Finn may have already decided where he heads next in his sporting life.

If pictures posted on the Ferrari driver's Instagram account are anything to go by, Raikkonen's next bold challenge will be a departure from the world of motorsport, and a venture on to the tennis court.

All suited and ready to play, Kimi has told 36-year-old Roger Federer, the winner of 20 Grand Slam singles titles, that he is ready to take him on!

"Anytime you want, Roger Federer," captioned the defiant Finn on his social media account.

We guess it's never too late to make a career switch, but 38-year-old driver has a lot of practice and hard work ahead if he is to challenge the man generally regarded as the greatest tennis player of all time.

As he rallies tirelessly from the back of the court, we imagine every one of Kimi's shots will be accompanied by a loud "BWOAH..."

Bring it on guys!
