Fernando Alonso lost no time getting down to business yesterday at Spa for his official debut with Toyota in the World Endurance Championship.
Strapped in behind the wheel of his #8 TS050 Hybrid racer that he'll be sharing this year with Sebastien Buemi and Kazuki Nakajima, the Spaniard topped the Spa event's first practice session, clocking in with a 1m58.492 lap that edged out Buemi by 0.237 seconds.
It was a brilliant performance by the Spaniard considering the wealth of Toyota experience enjoyed by his team mate.
