The Rosberg family was out in force in Monaco yesterday with father and son world champions running a few laps onboard their respective title winning cars.
While the thrill was real for both Keke and Nico, as it was for the fans, the latter insisted that getting back behind the wheel of his winning Mercedes W06 did not lead to any regrets about retiring from the sport.
Asked if it made him consider racing again, the German told Corriere della Sera: "For five seconds, yes.
"When I got into the cockpit it was like coming home. But it went right away. I'm so happy," Rosberg insisted.
The 2016 world champion says he's still more than happy to watch the action from the sidelines.
"It's a spectacular fight between three teams," said the German.
"No one has any idea who will win on Sunday, which is the perfect scenario."
Despite his team's dominant performance in Barcelona two weeks ago and Red Bull's speed in the Principality, Rosberg has tipped Ferrari to put one over on its rivals on Sunday.
"I did not expect them to be so good this season. At the moment it's the best car," he said.
