Lewis Hamilton says it's time for Monaco to contemplate changing its iconic venue after several drivers underlined Sunday's boring procession.
From a driver or a spectator's point of view there is no doubt the 2018 Monaco Grand Prix won't go down as the Principality's most memorable edition.
McLaren Fernando Alonso insisted yesterday's event was perhaps 'the most boring F1 race ever', and Force India's Sergio Perez agreed.
"If I was bored I don't want to imagine the fans at home watching the race," said the Mexican.
Hamilton followed suit, but suggested changes were perhaps now in order for Monte Carlo.
"If I was on the couch I would have fallen asleep," said the four-time world champion.
"It's amazing how little I pushed. Less than I can remember ever.
"This race needs another format," he added.
"Recently I told the Prince that maybe it's time to make the track longer. Over the past few years, more roads have been built here so maybe we can make it better.
"Or maybe we need to change the format of the race. I don't know. Monaco is an excellent track but maybe we need two races here. It was the longest 78 laps of my life!"
Mercedes boss Toto Wolff played down his drivers negative comments.
"Lewis always freely expresses his opinion, but this is Monaco and without serious accidents or a safety car it's always similar. Football also has good and bad games," he said.
