Lewis Hamilton, whose love of music is well known, added his voice to the chorus of tributes that have poured in for Queen of Soul, Aretha Franklin.
The 76-year-old singer and legend passed away on Thursday after losing a battle to pancreatic cancer.
Hamilton, who has often said that he could embark on a career in music after his life in motorsport, paid a touching homage to Franklin on his Instagram account.
"Aretha, your beautiful voice will always have an everlasting impact on this world," wrote the four-time F1 world champion.
"You truly moved, inspired and changed the entire meaning of soul forever. I will never forget the first time I heard your voice, it took my breath away.
"My prayers are with your family and loved ones. God bless and rest in peace, Queen of Soul."
