Magnussen makes a decent proposal to girlfriend Louise

Kevin Magnussen will be walking down the isle next summer for better and for worse, the Dane revealing that he proposed to girlfriend Louise Gjorup who has accepted the Haas driver's decent proposal.

Denmark's Ekstra Bladet pulled the cat out of the bag, indicating that the wedding will take place in August of next year.

"Yes, it is true that we will be married in the summer," Magnussen confirmed in Mexico.

"It's strange to me to share my privacy with people I do not know," said the Dane. "So I do not want to go into too much detail and I hope people respect that."

The 26-year-old was a lot more voluble about Formula 1's fuel flow rules that caught him out last weekend in Austin when he was disqualified for exceeding the fuel limits by a mere 170 grams!

"I’ve fought my whole life to get to Formula 1, to be able to race against the best people and race the fastest cars at the top of motorsport," he said.

"And then you’re driving around like a grandmother! It’s disappointing.

"You get disappointed and frustrated because you’re angry with yourself because you haven’t done enough with the rules that they are.

"But you also get frustrated with the rules more than anything because they’re stupid and it should be changed."
