Sunday at Interlagos, Lewis Hamilton kicked off his team's celebrations as soon as he stepped out of his car, with a double dose of joy linked to his race win and to Mercedes Constructors' title.
Some festive jubilation and a dozen of champagne bottles later, the reigning world champion took the time to address his Silver Arrows team, and he did with an inspired choice of words.
In a nutshell, he spoke about the significance of what mighty squad had just achieved, together as a team, with their driver as the final link.
"We are now legends so just remember that," Hamilton said.
"When you go home, when you look in the mirror, when you wake up, you’ve got to say that to yourself: ‘I’m a legend’."
