Two teams were singled out this year for their pit stop excellence on race day, but only one was granted the DHL Fastest Pit Stop Award.
A perfect pit stop is all about a crew's synchronized effort and absolute precision, all done in the heat of the moment, but it's also the best visual representation of team work.
A single malfunction or belated motion can wreak havoc on a driver's strategy, and ultimately ruin his and his team's Sunday afternoon.
At every world championship round, the DHL Fastest Pit Stop Award recognizes the crucial contribution of those without whom nothing could be achieved.
Based on a points scheme that follows F1's tally, DHL issued points for the fastest 10 stops at each Grand Prix.
This year, the boys at Red Bull Racing were celebrated for their outstanding work across the 2018 season, concluding their campaign with 466 points, or 63 points clear of Ferrari and 112 points ahead of Mercedes.
It was the Scuderia however who achieved the best individual performance, the men in red servicing Sebastian Vettel's SF71-H at the Brazilian Grand Prix in 1.97s!
But that was still 0.05s short of the absolute 1.92s record delivered by Williams at the 2017 Azerbaijan Grand Prix.
