Fernando Alonso's win in the Rolex 24 marks only the third time in motorsport history that the classic event is won by an F1 world champion.
Alonso picked up the baton from Phil Hill and Mario Andretti, but as in all successful long-distance achievements, it was a collaborative effort, in this case from the Wayne Taylor Racing crews and the Spaniard's talented team mates, namely Jordan Taylor, Renger van der Zande and Kamui Kobayashi.
We've put together a gallery of pictures collected from social media to recap Alonso's milestone win.
