Williams has announced that its 2019 FW42 likely won't be able to run in pre-season testing until Wednesday morning in Barcelona!
It's an inauspicious start for the Grove-based outfit which is in dire need of a turnaround of its fortunes.
Deputy team principal Claire Williams did not reveal the specific issue behind the team's testing delay, but one would assume that the team is still in the process of completing its 2019 charger.
"It is looking more likely than not that we will now not be in a position to run on track until Wednesday at the earliest," said Williams in a release on Monday.
"This is obviously extremely disappointing, but it is unfortunately the situation we are in. We will be getting the FW42 on track as soon as we are able."
