The return to the paddock of Mercedes non-executive chairman Niki Lauda has been delayed once again following more health complications for the F1 legend.
It was believed that Lauda, who underwent a lung transplant last summer, would stand post in the Mercedes garage at the start of the European season.
But reports out of Germany are stating that the 70-year-old former driver was recently transferred to a private clinic in Switzerland where the Austrian is receiving dialysis treatment following a kidney problem.
"Niki is making progress but he is still in Switzerland," said Lauda brother, Florian.
Unfortunately, it's the second set-back for the three-time world champion who also suffered a flu infection at the end of last year that put him back in hospital in Vienna.
Once his condition is stabilized in Switzerland, Lauda will likely continue his recuperation process at his home in Ibiza.
Lauda reportedly got a visit from his Mercedes partner Toto Wolff.
"Niki has good weeks and also some setbacks," commented the Mercedes AMG F1 team boss.
