Sebastian Vettel was absent from the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix's media day on Thursday, the Ferrari driver remaining alongside wife Hanna in Switzerland as the couple welcomed their third child.
The latest addition to the Vettel household is a baby boy who joins sisters Emilie, born in 2014 and Matilda, born in 2015.
The happy event meant that the Ferrari driver was excused by the FIA from media duties at Yas Marina where Vettel was due to arrive late Thursday evening.
The four-time world champion is one of only four fathers currently racing in F1, a status Vettel shares with Kimi Raikkonen, Sergio Perez and most recently Dany Kvyat.
