Esports: When and where to watch this weekend's action

Another weekend in confinement means another action-packed weekend of Esports racing, with a plethora of real-life racing stars set to battle it out in the virtual world.

We've earmarked five different events covering a diversity of categories that will take place today and on Sunday.

Here's the schedule in chronological order and the 'when wand where' details for each event:

Legends Trophy: The action will kick off with a cool event put together by 'The Race' which will bring together an array of past IndyCar stars and a few F1 and Le Mans veterans.

When: Saturday at 4pm UK time (12pm EST - 5pm CET).

Venue: The race is set to be held at Silverstone on rFactor2

The field: Among others, Emerson Fittipaldi, Helio Castroneves, Dario Franchitti, Juan Pablo Montoya, Johnny Herbert, David Brabham, Gil de Ferran, Tony Kanaan.

IndyCar iRacing Challenge: We'll remain in the US for the second event of the day which will see 25 genuine IndyCar drivers and a few special guests duke it out at Watkins Glen.

When: Saturday at 8pm UK time (4pm EST - 9pm CET).

Venue: Watkins Glen road course on iRacing.

The field: Among others, Josef Newgarden, Simon Pagenaud, Will Power, Oliver Askew, Marcus Ericsson, Felix Rosenqvist, Tony Kanaan, Graham Rahal, etc.., and also special guest Jimmie Johnson!

All-Star Esports Battle: The Race will hold its second event on Saturday after the Legends Trophy with the same format as last weekend, meaning a series of qualifying heats and a 30-minute final.

When: Saturday 6:10pm UK time (time (2:10pm EST - 7:10pm CET).

Venue: Silverstone - Mazda Pro - rFactor2

The field: Juan Pablo Montoya, Marcus Ericsson, Esteban Gutierrez, Antonio Felix da Costa, Nyck de Vries, Stoffel Vandoorne, Maximilian Guenther, Felix Rosenqvist, Alexander Rossi, James Davison, Colton Herta, Philipp Eng, Daniel Juncadella, etc…

eNASCAR iRacing Pro Invitational Series: Last weekend's inaugural NASCAR sim action proved both conclusive for the field of pro drivers and highly entertaining for the fans. We recommend you give it a try.

When: Sunday 7pm UK time (1pm EST - 8pm CET)

Venue: Texas Motor Speedway - iRacing

Veloce Pro Series: The final event of the weekend is hosted by elite esports agency Veloce Esports. It's the first round of a new series that is expected to raise the sim bar even higher.

When: Sunday 6pm UK time (12pm EST - 7pm CET)

Venue: TBC - iRacing
