Giovinazzi joins F1 colleagues on Virtual GP grid

Antonio Giovinazzi will make his F1 Esports debut on Sunday, the Alfa Romeo driver joining five of his distinguished F1 colleagues for the sim racing series' second round.

Giovinazzi will be fighting against Charles Leclerc, Alex Albon, George Russell, Lando Norris, Nicholas Latifi and a varied mix of celebrities and former racers.

Alfa's line-up will blend youth with experience as Giovinazzi's teammate will be the always colorful Johnny Herbert, reputed for his corner-cutting virtual skills as witnessed at the first round of F1's official Esports series which took place in Bahrain

The action will kick off at 8pm BST (3pm EST - 9pm CET), and although labeled as the Virtual Vietnam GP, drivers will race at Albert Park in Melbourne as game developer Codemasters has not yet added Hanoi's new street circuit to its platform.

The race will be streamed live on Formula 1's YouTube, Twitch and Facebook channels.
