FIA president Mohammed Ben Sulayem says the decisions that will come in the wake of the governing body's Abu Dhabi GP report will reflect its integrity and fairness.
A meeting on Monday in London of the F1 Commission regrouped the FIA's new president with F1 CEO Stefano Domenicali and all ten teams, with Sulayem presenting to the latter the governing body's review of the events that marked last December's title decider at Yas Marina.
The FIA has promised a public dissemination of its report and its findings, as well as the "structural changes" that will have resulted from its investigation, in the coming days as it wished to include the feedback it received from F1's constituents following yesterday's brief.
"We agreed on certain things, and the analysis is still going on, but it will come soon," Sulayam told Sky. "It was a good discussion there so we will see."
While no details filtered from Monday's meeting, it is believed that the FIA's action plan will include a significant revamp of the role of race director.
Whether Michael Masi will remain part of F1's new race direction structure in some capacity in the future is still unclear, but it is believed that the operational changes could cast Masi aside or significantly reduce the race director's individual responsibilities, whoever that race director may be.
Regardless of the outcome, Sulayem insists the ensuing decisions will reflect the FIA integrity and fairness.
"The information will be announced but the integrity of the FIA will always be intact," he said. "I’m elected to do that but also to have fair motorsport, that’s my duty.
"It was a very good meeting. We went through a lot of important things for the season. I expect a good Formula 1 season to go ahead.
"We can only go forward. This is important for the FIA, for the integrity of the FIA and the sport. We can only improve the future."
