When it comes to Formula 1 and flashy accoutrements, Lewis Hamilton is just like on the racing track: in a league of his own!
But the seven-time world champion may have some strong competition heading his way on Formula 1's catwalk, with Lando Norris, Daniel Ricciardo, Pierre Gasly, George Russell and Esteban Ocon rivaling Hamilton's sense of style and mode thanks to Vanity Fair.
The famous monthly US magazine of popular culture and fashion brought the four drivers together to serve as a common thread for a piece entitled 'Netflix, Drive to Survive, and the New Cult of F1 Fandom' and penned by Dan Adler about their life in the fast lane and in front of the camera.
But the backdrop to the story is an outrageously colorful photoshoot with British photographer Nick Riley Bentham in which each driver was draped in dazzling and wonderfully outlandish outfits the lavishness of which would have seen Hamilton turn green with envy.
Even the ultra-conservative Ocon admitted to taking a liking to upgrading his wardrobe, at least for the day.
"I’m maybe a little bit more the old-school driver who is more focused on the racing side and a little bit less on the image," he says. "But I’m coming towards that direction as well."
It may be time for Lewis to solicit another upgrade or to pull out the tartan kilt suit once again.
