F1 fans and guests heading to next month's inaugural Miami Grand Prix are in a for a treat based on a video released by Formula 1 that gives a fly-through overall view of the amazing new venue.
The 3.36-mile, 19-turn track is currently under construction and is reported to be ahead of schedule with just a month to go before the big event that will take place on May 6-8.
However, beyond the street track that will meander around the Hard Rock Stadium, the home of the NFL's Miami Dolphins, the event's promoters have laid out a remarkable suite of viewing areas and hospitality units for spectators, guests and team sponsors.
A temporary beach club - including pools, two-levels of luxury cabanas, sun beds and a near-24,000 square-foot beach - is being prepared at the inside of turns 11, 12 and 13.
The Beach Club will aim to give guests a “uniquely South Florida environment” to enjoy the racing, and will also be used to hold special musical performances over the course of the weekend.
But the venue will include many other unique eye-catching features where fans will be entertained by what will be going on off the track as much as on it.
For those lucky fans who have secured a ticket for next month's inaugural event, the Miami Grand Prix is almost certain to be a huge success when F1 arrives in Florida.
“To bring the glamour and elegance of Formula 1 and the technology of F1 racing to a dynamic, growing city like Miami right now is fantastic,” said Tom Garfinkel, the managing partner of the event and the Miami Dolphins and Hard Rock Stadium CEO.
“The idea was how do you create a race for people that are used to going to races to think ‘this is different, this is fun, this is exciting’. I think, first of all, it’s about Miami.
“Miami Gardens, and really the whole south of Florida, it’s become a curator of culture when you talk about fashion and art, music, food and sports. It’s a very attractive place.
“I think from a racing standpoint, we’re introducing the best racing in the world and its technology, best engineering, the best cars and the best drivers to, potentially, a large group of people who haven’t been around it or seen it before.
“I think that can have a large impact on peoples’ lives.”
