First official Formula 1 Exhibition opens in Madrid

Formula 1 CEO Stefano Domenicali opened on Thursday in Madrid the sport's first official Formula 1 Exhibition that features a wide range of unseen artefacts from the sport's most legendary teams and personalities.

Produced in partnership with Round Room Live and hosted at the renowned IFEMA MADRID, the ground-breaking and immersive exhibition spans six purpose-built rooms, each specially designed in collaboration with award-winning curators, artists and filmmakers, the much-anticipated show provides a stunning adventure through the extraordinary world of Formula 1.

"Visitors start their journey passing through ‘Once Upon A Time In Formula 1®’, made up of previously-unseen photographs that transport fans through the sport’s most iconic and defining moments," stated Formula 1.

"The experience continues through the ‘Design Lab’ where fans are taken inside an F1 factory to explore the modern-day design, testing and manufacturing process – with exclusive insight into the cutting-edge technology used by Pirelli, Exhibition Sponsor and Global Tyre Partner of the sport, and an exclusive insight into the journey of an F1 tyre.

"Drivers and Duels’ offers a race circuit inspired design and celebrates the most iconic drivers and legendary races since Formula 1 began, before ‘Revolution By Design’ presents the dazzling breakthrough innovations in the sport and explores the new technologies that lie ahead.

"The show then reaches its climax in ‘The Pit Wall’ – a show-stopping cinematic and immersive experience that allows fans to relive the greatest moments in Formula 1 history like never before."

The exhibition's highlights include the remains of Romain Grosjean’s Haas from his dramatic 2020 crash in Bahrain, Pierre Gasly’s ‘Monza Miracle’ maiden race-winning car from the same year and the first ever public display of a Scuderia Ferrari power unit.

The Formula 1 Exhibition will open to the public on Friday, March 24 and will run for several months.
