Charles Leclerc will be spurred on this weekend in Montreal by the spirit of Canada's favourite racing son, the late Gilles Villeneuve.
The Ferrari driver unveiled on Friday a special Canadian Grand Prix helmet inspired by Villeneuve's unmistakable lid that will serve as a poignant reminder of the Scuderia driver's enduring legacy.
It is a touching gesture by the Monegasque that transcends time and bridges generations, and one that will endear Leclerc to Ferrari's Canadian fans.
"Gilles Villeneuve, he was such an incredible driver," said Leclerc in a Ferrari video.
"So much passion he had for Ferrari, you could see straight away when he was going out on track.
"This is my special helmet for the weekend, it's inspired by the design Gilles used to have."
Leclerc's tribute paints a beautiful picture of remembrance and admiration for a racing legend, ensuring that Gilles Villeneuve's spirit continues to burn bright in the hearts of fans all over the world.
