McLaren sets new F1 world record for fastest pit stop

McLaren's speed – and that of its drivers – doesn’t only pay dividends out on the track, it also yields crucial benefits in the pitlane thanks to the coordinated efforts of its expert crews.

In last Sunday’s Qatar Grand Prix, McLaren established a new world record in F1 for the fastest pit stop, with the team servicing Lando Norris on lap 27 of the race in a blistering 1.80s!

At Losail, Ferrari clocked in with the second fastest pit stop, with its crews swapping all four wheels on Charles Leclerc’s SF-23 with clockwork precision in 1.98s.

McLaren’s accomplishment not only highlights the exceptional speed and efficiency of team papya’s crews but also reflects the ultimate level of teamwork and coordination within the team.

It's a testament to the dedication, skill, and synchronization of every member, demonstrating that in the high-stakes world of Formula 1, the smallest fractions of a second can be the difference between victory and defeat.
