Ferrari rolls out special ‘golden age’ livery for Las Vegas GP

Forty-one years after its last appearance in Las Vegas, Ferrari will commemorate its return to Sin City with a special “golden age” livery on SF-23.

The Scuderia’s charger will be draped in red – its natural color – but with splashes of white prominently featured on its bodywork in a hark back to the Italian outfit’s prestigious past from the 70s and early 80s.

Highlighting the retro style, all of its sponsors appear in red and white across the SF-23’s real estate while vintage rounded race numbers adorn its front.

“In those days, there was a lot of white alongside the red in the Ferrari livery and this year, for the return to Las Vegas, the Scuderia decided to reprise it, producing an entirely red and white-only livery for the SF-23,” Ferrari stated in its presentation.

“Key to the success of this special design was the cooperation between the Scuderia’s partners who approved changes to their own colours, especially Puma who produced completely new team kit specifically for this race.

“Charles and Carlos are also happy to support the initiative and so, for this event, their helmets follow the theme with predominantly red and white colours, which is also the case with the special race suits.”

Ferrari says that it will also celebrate Formula 1’s return to Las Vegas with a series of special off-track initiatives.

Fans and enthusiasts will have access to limited edition caps and accessories, all featuring the white and red colours.

Ferrari remains the only team to have participated in every year of the Formula 1 World Championship, an din every “golden age” of Grand prix racing’s 73-year history.
