Hamilton’s first message as a Ferrari driver: ‘Embrace the change’

Lewis Hamilton has officially kicked off his Ferrari journey with a heartfelt and motivational message on LinkedIn, marking the beginning of a new chapter in his illustrious Formula 1 career.

The seven-time world champion shared his reflections and aspirations for 2025 while encouraging others to embrace change and seize new opportunities.

Hamilton’s post featured a nostalgic photo of himself as a child, donning a red helmet—a subtle nod to his new team’s iconic scarlet colors.

In his message, the seven-time world champion shared his excitement for the year ahead and his belief in the transformative power of reinvention.

“I could not be more excited for the year ahead. Moving to Scuderia Ferrari, there’s a lot to reflect on,” he wrote.

“To anyone considering their next move in 2025: embrace the change. Whether you're switching industries, learning a new skill, or even just taking on new challenges, remember that reinvention is powerful.

“Your next opportunity is always within reach. Here’s to 2025 – a year of embracing new opportunities, staying hungry, and driving forward with purpose. Let’s make it one to remember. Andiamo.”

Hamilton punctuated his post with the hashtag “new job” and added emojis of a red car and a heart, further emphasizing his enthusiasm for his Ferrari debut.

A Bold Move to the Scuderia

The Briton’s move to Ferrari brings an end to his 12-year partnership with Mercedes, a collaboration that saw him claim six of his seven world championships.

The announcement of his switch to Ferrari, made in February 2024, stunned the F1 world and has set the stage for one of the most anticipated seasons in recent memory.

Hamilton has signed a multi-year deal with the Scuderia, and while fans eagerly await his first laps in Ferrari red, team principal Fred Vasseur has confirmed that the Briton will participate in testing sessions with previous cars and Pirelli tyres ahead of the season opener in Bahrain.

The 2025 campaign will officially kick off with Ferrari unveiling its new car on February 19, following Formula 1’s 75th-anniversary celebrations at London’s O2 Arena on the day before.

As Ferrari fans and the wider F1 community prepare for this new era, Hamilton’s words set the tone for what could be a transformative season: one of ambition, reinvention, and a relentless drive toward success.
