Mercedes confirms launch date for W16 Silver Arrow

Mercedes has officially announced the launch date for their highly anticipated 2025 challenger, the W16 E Performance.

Mark your calendars for February 24th as the day the Silver Arrows outfit unveils its weapon for the upcoming season. However, the team’s official 2025 livery will be on display at Formula 1’s season presentation event at London’s The O2 on February 19.

Mercedes’ new car, which aims to propel the Brackley squad back to the top of the field, marks a new era for the team on the driver front. With Lewis Hamilton's departure to Ferrari, rookie Kimi Antonelli will be stepping up to join George Russell.

A Departure from Tradition

In a departure from tradition, Mercedes has decided to forego its typical Silverstone launch event in favor of a unique approach. The W16 will make its track debut during a filming day at the Bahrain International Circuit on February 25, the day before pre-season testing officially begins at the same venue.

According to team boss Toto Wolff, this strategic move allows Mercedes to maximize development time and fine-tune its car for the 2025 campaign.

For now, all eyes are on February 24 as Mercedes prepares to launch what could be a defining car in the team’s illustrious history.
