The countdown begins: Final trailer drops for ‘F1’ Hollywood epic

The countdown to ‘F1’, Hollywood’s love letter to Formula 1, is now in overdrive following the release of the movie’s third and final trailer.

Set to storm cinemas worldwide on June 25 and in North America on June 27, the film stars Brad Pitt as fictional former racing driver Sonny Hayes, who returns to Formula 1 for one last shot at glory, this time alongside rookie sensation Joshua Pearce, played by Damson Idris.

Directed by Top Gun: Maverick’s Joseph Kosinski, and produced by Jerry Bruckheimer – with Lewis Hamilton also included in the movie’s production package – ‘F1’ blends Hollywood star power with real-world racing authenticity.

Scenes were filmed at multiple Grands Prix during the 2023 and 2024 seasons, seamlessly inserting APXGP’s fictional cars into real-life action at iconic tracks including Silverstone, Monza, and Yas Marina.

The final trailer even features the dramatic first-lap crash at the 2023 Mexican Grand Prix.

Also starring Javier Bardem as APXGP team boss Ruben Cervantes, and Kerry Condon as tech director Kate McKenna, the film offers a behind-the-scenes look at F1’s grit and glamour.

Additional footage was shot at the McLaren Technology Centre, including training montages and press conferences.

For good measure, the film’s musical horsepower matches its cinematic one, with a star-studded soundtrack revealed during the Miami Grand Prix.

Expect tracks from Ed Sheeran, ROSÉ, Burna Boy, and Tate McRae fueling the emotional beats of the story.

With its blend of drama, speed, and spectacular visuals, ‘F1’ promises to be a turbo-charged tribute to the sport — and this final trailer only raises the anticipation to the next level.
