Ahead of the release of F1 The Movie, Brad Pitt returned to the track last week – this time not for filming, but for the real thing.
The Hollywood mega-star took part in a private test at the Circuit of the Americas in Austin, getting behind the wheel of McLaren’s 2023 F1 car, the MCL60. The drive was arranged by McLaren Racing CEO Zak Brown, giving Pitt a firsthand taste of Formula 1 at speed.
The run didn’t come out of the blue but was pre-planned well in advance, with Pitt visiting the McLaren Technology Centre in Woking last month for engineering meetings, a seat fit, and an intensive simulator session.
