Racing Bulls unleash shell-shocking livery for US Grand Prix

Racing Bulls are rolling into Austin for the United States Grand Prix this weekend wearing a livery that’s as bold as it is unexpected: a gleaming, gold-trimmed tortoise shell.

The Faenza-based outfit, fielding young guns Isack Hadjar and Liam Lawson, will trade in their usual white threads for a pearlescent mix of black and orange that would make any reptile jealous.

The one-off design, created in collaboration with singer-rapper Shaboozey and title sponsor Cash App, is inspired by the company’s tortoise-themed prepaid Visa debit card – because why settle for fast money when you can have steady money?

Bridging Tracks, Beats, and Bold Statements

The partnership is part of Racing Bulls’ growing tradition of bringing pop culture onto the grid — and this one blends speed, sound, and a pinch of American swagger.

The team’s Austin setup will be a full-on tortoise takeover, with the distinctive pattern wrapping not just the VCARB 02 cars, but also the drivers’ race suits, team apparel, and even the garage itself.

For Shaboozey, seeing his creation take to the F1 stage is nothing short of surreal.

“I was excited to launch this card earlier this year and now seeing it come to life on an F1 car is electric,” the artist said.

The artist’s creative touch fits right in with Austin’s own reputation for doing things a little differently.

Peter Bayer, CEO of Visa Cash App Racing Bulls, echoed that sentiment with trademark flair.

“Once again, we have tapped into culture in a way that's uniquely VCARB. These special liveries have become part of our identity; moments where motorsport meets music, fashion and creativity. The design we're bringing to the track this weekend is another bold expression of that spirit, and Austin is the perfect place to bring it to life.”

Not Their First Rodeo (or Fashion Statement)

Of course, this isn’t Racing Bulls’ first time strutting its stuff on the catwalk of Formula 1.

Earlier this year, the team turned heads in Miami with a one-off magenta design celebrating a new Red Bull flavor, and last season it teamed up with Warner Bros. to promote the Hollywood blockbuster Twister.

Clearly, blending speed with style has become part of the Racing Bulls DNA – and they’re not slowing down anytime soon, even if their new mascot might.

So when the lights go out in Austin, keep an eye out for that glimmering tortoise shell streaking around the Circuit of the Americas.

Because while slow and steady might win the race in fairy tales, in Formula 1, it’s all about looking good while going fast – and this weekend, Racing Bulls might just be doing both.
