Former Formula 1 driver Timo Glock celebrates his 35th birthday today. Here he is looking remarkably fresh-faced ahead of his first Formula One start.

Glock made his name in Formula 3 in his native Germany. He was signed as Jordan Grand Prix's test driver for the 2004 season. When regular driver Giorgio Pantano was forced to drop out because of a contract dispute, Glock made his Grand Prix début in China in September.

Glock finished the race in 11th place, which was impressive enough for a maiden race. But he was subsequently promoted to seventh place after both Williams and both Toyoto cars were disqualified due to illegal brake ducts. That made Glock one of a select group of drivers to score points on their F1 début.

Glock stayed with Jordan in 2008 and the Irish team affectionally dubbed him "Tim O'Glock". He subsequently raced for Toyota, Virgin and Marussia making 91 starts in total. He's more recently been competing for BMW in the DTM series - so here's a bonus shot of him as he looks today, at the final race of the 2016 season at the Hockenheimring.
